- Raise and support rear of vehicle, then remove tire and wheel assembly.
- Remove caliper attaching bolts, then the caliper, Fig. . Do not allow caliper to hang unsupported or damage to the brake hose may occur.
- Remove pads and anti-squeal shim(s).
- Remove anti-rattle springs, pad guide plates and support plate.
- Reverse procedure to install.
2005
- Raise and support vehicle, then remove rear wheel.
- Remove union bolt, gasket and flexible hose from brake caliper,
- Remove slide pin and caliper, Fig. .
- Remove brake pads, brake pad support plate and shims.

Models w/Union Bolt Fuel Line Connection
- Obtain the vehicle owners radio theft protection code prior to disconnecting the battery ground cable, if equipped.
- Disconnect the battery ground cable.
- Remove the fuel fill cap to release fuel tank pressure.
- Place a shop towel over the union bolt at top of fuel filter. Slowly loosen the union bolt allowing fuel pressure to bleed down.
- Whenever the union bolt is loosened to relieve fuel system pressure, always replace the bolt gasket.

- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove wheel and tire assembly.
- Drain transmission fluid.
- Unstake driveshaft hub nut.
- With an assistant applying brakes, remove driveshaft hub nut.
- Remove nut and disconnect stabilizer link from shock absorber assembly.
- On models with ABS, proceed as follows:
- Remove sensor wire clamp.
- Remove bolt and disconnect sensor wire from shock absorber assembly.
- Remove bolt and disconnect ABS speed sensor from steering knuckle.
- On all models, remove cotter pin and nut from outer tie rod end.
- Disconnect tie rod assembly from steering knuckle using a suitable pry tool...
