- Disconnect electrical connector from fluid level switch, if equipped, Figs. through .
- Disconnect brake lines from master cylinder and plug open ports.
- Remove master cylinder mounting nuts, disconnect proportioning valve mounting bracket, if equipped, then remove master cylinder from vehicle.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Tighten master cylinder mounting nuts and brake lines to specifications.

- Disconnect lower control arm ball joint from knuckle using tie rod end puller tool No. 09568-31000, or equivalent.
- Remove driveshaft nut from hub.
- Using axle shaft puller tool No. 09526-11001, or equivalent, remove driveshaft from hub.
