It is possible to fit the driveshaft incorrectly. Note the orientation before removal.
A small amount of oil may weep from the driveshaft joints during storage. The loss of this oil will not affect the operation or durability of the joint.
Remove
- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove exhaust system.
- Mark position of driveshaft flange in relation to drive pinion flange.
- Remove six Torx bolts and washers at transfer case drive flange, discard bolts.
