- Drain engine coolant into suitable container.
- Remove upper radiator seal.
- Remove upper radiator support bar.
- Disconnect and plug coolant overflow hose from radiator.
- Disconnect upper and lower radiator hoses from radiator and position out of way.
- Remove bolt from transmission oil cooler pipe clip at lower radiator tie bar.
- Remove cooling fans.
- Disconnect transmission fluid cooler lines from radiator using coupling tool No. J41623-B, or equivalent. Position lines aside.

- Remove air inlet duct from throttle body.
- Remove air inlet duct from Mass Air Flow/Intake Air Temperature (MAF/IAT) sensor.
- Remove cover and air filter element.
- Drain cooling system into suitable container, then disconnect coolant reservoir hose.
- Remove coolant recovery reservoir mounting screws, then the reservoir.
