- Drain coolant from radiator until level is below thermostat housing.
- Remove upper radiator hose, then heater hose at thermostat housing and engine coolant sensor wire.
- Remove thermostat housing bolts and gasket, then the thermostat.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Ensure pellet encircled by coil spring faces engine.
- Ensure thermostat is in recess groove and position thermostat in groove with arrow and air bleed hole on outer flange pointing up.

- Remove top housing retaining screws, then the top of heater and A/C housing.
- Remove thermostatic switch and capillary tube.
- Remove evaporator retaining screws, then the evaporator.
- Separate evaporator valve from evaporator core.
- Reverse procedure to install.
