- Remove center console and steering column lower cowl.
- Disconnect and remove A/C switch panel optical fibers from A/C unit.

- Remove control assembly panel retaining screws, then the panel.
- Disconnect differential potentiometer block electrical connector and remove panel.

- Remove master cylinder from vehicle.
- Carefully pry out master cylinder hydraulic line adapters (1), Fig. , from sealing grommets.
- Using a screwdriver, lever out sealing grommets (2) from master cylinder.
- Press in primary piston stop pin to relieve pressure on secondary piston stop pin (3), Fig. .
- Remove stop pin from front grommet sealing housing. Maintain pressure on primary piston, and remove circlip (4).
