Prior to disconnecting fuel lines, the fuel system pressure must be relieved to prevent accidental spray of fuel.

- Remove wheel and tire assembly.
- Remove axle shaft nut at hub.
- Remove halfshaft from axle assembly, using halfshaft splitter handle tool No. 307-443 and halfshaft splitter tool No. 307-442 or equivalents. To avoid damage to halfshaft constant velocity (CV) joints and boots, do not allow CV joints to exceed 18 degrees of travel.
- Remove and discard retaining clip.
- Remove halfshaft seal.
Install
- Install NEW halfshaft seal, using halfshaft oil seal installer tool No. 205-532 or equivalent.
