Fuel System Pressure Relief
- Disconnect electrical connector from fuel pump relay.
- Start and run engine until it stalls.
- After engine stalls, crank for five more seconds.
- Turn ignition switch OFF, then connect fuel pump relay electrical connector.
Removal & Installation
Do not smoke or allow an open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel system related components. The highly flammable vapor mixtures may ignite, resulting in serious personal injury.
Prior to disconnecting fuel lines, the fuel system pressure must be relieved to prevent accidental fuel spray.

In case of double offset joint (DOJ) type, before removing the propeller shaft, wrap the metal parts (installed at the rubber boot of center DOJ) with a cloth or rubber material. Rubber boot may be damaged due to interference with adjacent metal parts while bending the DOJ during removal.
