Fuel System Pressure Relief
- Remove the fuel pump fuse from the fuse panel.
- Start and run the engine until it stalls.
- After the engine stalls, crank two or three times to ensure all fuel pressure is relieved.
- Turn the ignition Off, then install the fuel pump fuse.
Removal & Installation
Do not smoke or allow an open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel system related components. The highly flammable vapor mixtures may ignite, resulting in serious personal injury.

- Release parking brake.
- Raise and support vehicle and support it with safety stands in proper locations.
- Detach five rear side mounts of exhaust tube and main muffler.
- Lower exhaust tube and main muffler.
- Support them with suitable jack.
- Attach suitable tool to protect driveline.
- Place reference marks on flange yoke with final drive companion flange. Use paint for markings. Do not damage flange yoke and companion flange.
- Remove driveline bolts and nuts, then remove driveline from vehicle.

To start the self-diagnostics, place the ignition switch in the On position, then ground terminal of the tire pressure warning check connector. The fault location is indicated by the blinking of the low tire pressure warning lamp, Fig. . This system uses radio frequency pressure sensors which monitor pressure in all 4 tires. When operating the vehicle at a speed above 25 mph the Low Tire Pressure Warning Lamp will illuminate when low tire pressure has been detected. After all tires have been inflated to the proper pressure and vehicle has been operated the warning lamp should turn off unless a fault in the Low Tire Pressure warning system has developed.
