Fuel System Pressure Relief

  • On all models except 1990-96 300ZX, remove the fuel pump fuse from the fuse panel.
  • On 1990-96 300ZX, disconnect the fuel pump relay, located behind the lefthand side kick panel.
  • On all models, start and run the engine until it stalls.
  • After the engine stalls, crank two or three times to ensure all fuel pressure is relieved.
  • On all models except 1990-96 300ZX, turn the ignition Off, then install the fuel pump fuse.
  • On 1990-96 300ZX, turn the ignition Off, then connect the fuel pump relay.
