- Remove booster pushrod clevis, locknut and rod seal.
- Scribe mating marks on booster body and booster housing.
- Secure brake booster into booster housing retainer No. 09753-87701-000. Ensure retainer nuts are secured evenly and with moderate pressure.
- Turn the retainer screw clockwise to disengage booster housing from booster body, Fig. .
- Remove booster from retainer and disassemble by following Fig. .

- Remove four drive shaft bolts.
- Put match marks on each of the flange yoke and companion flange of front differential.
- If this operation should fail to be performed, drive shaft may emit abnormal noise or vibration during running.
- Set drive shaft on a vise. Remove snap ring using a hammer and a standard screwdriver.
- Never clamp balancer weight section of driveshaft in a vise.
