- Raise and support vehicle and support it with safety stands in proper locations.
- Remove wheel nuts and front wheels.
- Remove lefthand engine undercover.
- Drain transaxle oil in suitable container.
- Unstake wheel hub nut using suitable tool but do not remove nut.
- Apply brakes and remove lefthand driveline nut.
- Remove nut and separate lefthand front stabilizer link assembly. If ball joint turns together with nut use 6mm tool to hold stud.

Under normal operating conditions the cabin air filter should be replaced every 22,500 miles. In dusty areas change the cabin air filter every 10,000 miles.
- Open the glove compartment door.
- Remove the screw retaining the damper rod to the righthand side of the glove compartment door, then detach the damper rod.
- Push inward at each side of the glove compartment door to disengage the retainers, then lower the door.
