Alternator, Replace
Vehicle: 2008 Audi TT 2.0 L4 GAS
- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Remove EVAP canister from bracket and lay aside with lines connected.
- Rotate tensioner clockwise, using a suitable tool to release tension on drive belt. If drive belt is to be reused, mark direction of belt for reassembly.
- Secure belt tensioner in released position, using a suitable locking pin.
- Remove drive belt.
- Remove bolts and drive belt tensioner.

- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Fold back protective boot and remove electrical connections at starter solenoid.
- Remove ground wire from starter.
- Remove lower starter bolt.
- Remove upper starter bolt and starter.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Torque starter bolts to 59 ft. lbs.
- Torque starter ground cable nut to 17 ft. lbs.
- Torque wiring harness bracket nut to 17 ft. lbs.
- Torque B+ terminal nut to 11 ft. lbs...
