- On models with standard ignition switch, place the ignition switch in the On position.
- On models with keyless ignition switch, place the ignition switch in the Accy position.

Each tire pressure sensor has an internal power supply which has a service life of 10 years.
Removal
- Loosen the lug nuts.
- Raise and support vehicle with jack stands, then remove the wheel and tire assembly.

The TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitor System) warns the driver when a significant loss, or gain of tire pressure occurs in any of the four tires and allows the driver to display the individual tire pressures and the locations on the DIC (Driver Information Center) display.
When the vehicle is stationary, the sensor is inactive.
