TPMS Sensor

The nickel-plated valve core must always be replaced when changing a tire. The metal valve and wheel electronics can be reused.

  • Release air from tire by removing nickel-plated valve core.
  • Mount tire unseating tool to protect wheel electronics, Fig. .
  • Remove tire.
  • Check for loose or damaged components.
  • Push metal valve with rubber seal through rim from inside.
  • Install chamfered washer and union nut from outside and tighten. Use a suitable 2 mm drill bit to prevent sensor from turning.
