- Remove PCM mounting fasteners, then position PCM aside.
- Remove master cylinder as outlined under "Master Cylinder, Replace."
- Disconnect rear brake tubes at junction block. Plug all open brake tubes.
- Disconnect vacuum hose from check valve on power brake booster.
- Remove lower instrument panel/steering column cover.
- Remove and discard brake lamp switch.
- Remove brake booster push rod to brake pedal retaining clip. Discard clip.
- Slide booster push rod off brake pedal pin.
- Remove brake booster to dash panel retaining nuts.

- Remove caliper from brake rotor and brake pads from caliper as outlined under .
- Disconnect brake hose at brake caliper. Cap brake line.
- Reverse procedure to install.
Overhaul
- Remove brake pads as outlined under .
- Hang caliper on suitable wire away from rotor.
- Place suitable, small piece of wood between piston and caliper fingers.
- Depress brake pedal to hydraulically push piston out of bore.
- Apply and hold-down brake pedal to any position beyond first inch of brake travel to prevent master cylinder brake fluid loss.
