RADIATOR & HOSE REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES FOR 2005 Pontiac G6 AUTOMOBILES

Radiator, Replace
Vehicle: 2005 Pontiac G6 3.5 V6 GAS
- Drain engine coolant.
- Remove lefthand headlamp assembly attaching bolts.
- Lift headlamp assembly to unseat tabs on bottom edge of fender.
- Disconnect headlamp assembly electrical connector and remove assembly from vehicle.
- Remove righthand headlamp assembly attaching bolts.
- Lift headlamp assembly to unseat tabs on bottom edge of fender.
- Disconnect headlamp assembly electrical connector and remove assembly from vehicle.
- Loop a suitable rope around upper two tabs of condenser, then tie rope around upper engine compartment tie bar.

- Drain cooling system into a suitable container.
- Reposition hose clamp from thermostat housing using hose clamp pliers J 38185 or equivalent.
- Remove radiator outlet hose from thermostat housing.
- Reposition hose clamp from radiator using hose clamp pliers J 38185 or equivalent.
- Remove radiator outlet hose from radiator and from vehicle.

- Drain cooling system into a suitable container.
- Remove evaporator hose assembly.
- Remove condenser tube.
- Reposition heater hose inlet clamp at heater core using hose clamp pliers J 38185 or equivalent.
- Remove heater inlet hose from heater core.
- Reposition heater core inlet hose clamp at engine using hose clamp pliers J 38185 or equivalent.
- Remove hose from engine.
- Remove hose from vehicle.
