The front single piston, floating caliper disc brake consists of rotor, caliper, pads and driving hub. The caliper is mounted to steering knuckle using bushings, sleeves and two thru bolts which thread directly into steering knuckle.
This assembly has an anti-rattle clip attached to outer pad and an inner pad-piston retainer clip.
All of braking force is taken directly by adapter. The caliper is a one piece casting with inboard side containing a single piston cylinder bore.

Halfshaft inner and outer boots are not serviceable separately. Boot replacement requires entire shaft assembly replacement.
Lefthand halfshaft is shorter than right. Identify and tag halfshafts upon removal to ensure proper installation.
- Raise and support vehicle, then remove tire and wheel assembly.
- While holding link ball joint stem from rotating, remove stabilizer link to shock clevis bracket nut.
