Vehicle: 2004 Volvo V40 1.9 L4 GAS
- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Remove lower engine splash shields, if equipped.
- Rotate or lift belt tensioner arm clockwise, using a suitable tool to relieve tension from drive belt.
- Remove drive belt.
- Remove bolts securing power steering pump mounting bracket.
- Remove bracket between power steering pump and intake manifold.
- Remove bolt securing cable clip from bracket.
- Remove connector assembly from bracket.
- Remove mounting bolts between spokes on pulley.
- Lift out power steering pump. Place pump to one side in engine compartment.
