Saab -> Component Replacement & Adjustment -> Blower Motor, Replace -> 9-3 -> 9-5

- Pry off protective cap at base of wiper arms with screwdriver, then remove nuts and wiper arms.
- Disconnect windshield washer hoses, then remove cowl intake screen.
- Remove water deflector.
- Remove cabin air filter.
- Disconnect blower motor electrical connector.
- Remove cabin air filter frame bolts, then the frame.
- Remove blower motor cover.
- Remove screw holding electrical connection, then the blower motor mounting bolts and the ventilation fan. Avoid letting bolts drop into HVAC housing.
- Reverse procedure to install.

- Recover refrigerant as outlined under .
- Remove grille and horns.
- Remove lefthand turn signal lamp and lefthand headlamp.
- Remove charge air cooler and pipe from charge air cooler to intake manifold.
- Remove shield at lefthand of receiver-dryer.
- Remove both condenser retaining bolts, then the condenser.
- Remove bolt in receiver PAD connection. Plug openings.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Torque bolt to PAD connection to 84 inch lbs.
- Charge system refrigerant as outlined under .
