Engine Coolant
Before adding or replacing engine coolant, ensure product compatibility with the system being serviced. If using orange silicate-free coolant, do not mix with green silicated coolant. If mixed, premature engine, heater core or radiator corrosion may result.

Service procedures given are for compressor removed and mounted in suitable holding fixture. However, on most applications, compressor clutch components can be serviced without removing compressor or recovering refrigerant from system. If refrigerant recovery becomes required, refer to for procedure.
To prevent serious internal compressor damage, when removing or installing clutch components, never apply pressure directly to the compressor shaft. Always use a suitable shaft protector.

- Relieve tension by rotating tensioner clockwise using suitable and remove compressor drive belt. Slowly release tensioner.
- Raise and support vehicle, then remove righthand front tire and wheel assembly.
- Remove push-in and front fascia retainers, then the top clips wheelhouse panel.
- Remove mounting bolts, then the compressor discharge and suction hoses. Cap openings and discard sealing washers.
