- Connect manifold gauge set to high and low sides of system.
- Start engine and allow to run at 2000 RPM, then activate air conditioner.
- Set blower switch to "HI," and temperature lever to "COOL."
- Open all windows and doors, then position dry bulb thermometer in cool air outlet and psychrometer (combination dry/wet bulb thermometer) near evaporator inlet.

- Raise and support vehicle, then remove front wheels.
- Remove drain plug from transaxle and drain in suitable container.
- Remove driveshaft nut.
- Pull out driveshaft joint so as to release snap ring fitting of joint spline at differential side.
- Disconnect stabilizer joint from suspension arm.
- Remove ball stud bolt and then separate suspension arm from knuckle.
- Pull out inboard joint from differential side and then wheel side joint fro steering knuckle.To prevent breakage of boots, use care not to bring them into contact with other parts when removing driveshaft assembly.
