- Recover refrigerant as outlined under .
- Disconnect sensor connector.
- Remove refrigerant pressure sensor.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Install new O-rings lubricated with suitable compressor oil.
- Torque sensor to 106 inch lbs.

- Connect suitable brake fluid changing tool following tool manufacturer's instructions. Bleed pressure is 29 psi.
- Open righthand rear brake caliper bleed screw and allow approximately 2.7 ounces of brake fluid to flow out without any bubbles.
- Tighten bleed screw to specifications.
- Repeat bleeding procedure at lefthand rear, righthand front and lefthand front calipers.
- On CL500, CL600, S320, S420, S430, S500 and S600 models, open master cylinder bleed screw and allow brake fluid to flow without any bubbles. Tighten bleed screw to specifications.

Fuel System Pressure Relief
Do not smoke or allow an open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel system related components. The highly flammable vapor mixtures may ignite, resulting in serious personal injury.
Prior to disconnecting fuel lines, the fuel system pressure must be relieved to prevent accidental fuel spray.
After the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal driveability symptoms may occur. The vehicle may need to be driven while it relearns its adaptive strategy.

- Disconnect middle or rear muffler suspension and lower exhaust system at muffler and support, Fig. .
- Remove exhaust heat shield and reinforcement brace.
- Remove seat belt bracket.
- Remove mounting bolts and nuts, then disconnect front driveshaft from transmission. Flexible disc remains on driveshaft.
