- Remove heater and A/C unit as described under "Heater Housing, Replace," then invert unit and separate door pivot from pivot pin.
- Disconnect vacuum line, then separate halves of heater and A/C unit and remove center adapter heat duct and screw.
- Remove door from bottom half of heater and A/C unit.
- Reverse procedure to install. Ensure door pivot pins align with holes when assembling heater and A/C housing.

Before beginning any leak test, attach a manifold gauge set and note pressure. If little or no pressure is indicated, a partial charge must be installed.
