- Pull out instrument panel compartment while pushing stopper from both left and right sides.
- Disconnect cigar lighter electrical connector.
- Remove instrument panel center trim bezel attaching screws, then the center trim bezel.
- Remove radio from trim panel.
- Grasp heater control unit lever knobs firmly and pull knobs out.
- Remove lower cover from righthand side of instrument cluster.

- Remove master cylinder from vehicle as follows:
- Disconnect and plug hydraulic lines.
- Remove two master cylinder attaching nuts, then the master cylinder.
- Remove reservoir cover and diaphragm. Discard old brake fluid in reservoir.
- Inspect cover and diaphragm.
- Remove fluid level switch, if equipped.

- Remove front tire and wheel assembly.
- Remove one bolt and ABS speed sensor from steering knuckle (if equipped).
- Unstake wheel drive shaft nut.
- Remove wheel drive shaft nut and washer.
- Remove ball stud bolt. Ball stud bolt is threaded into steering knuckle. Protect drive axle seals from sharp tools and from sharp edges of surrounding components. Any damage to seals or clamps, will result in leaking of joint lubricating grease from inner and outer joints; and entering of contaminates into inner and outer joints.
