- Raise and support front of vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assembly.
- Remove two caliper mounting bolts, then remove caliper. Do not allow caliper to hang by brake hose.
- Remove inner pad, then remove outer pad and anti-squeal shim(s), Fig. .
- Remove anti-rattle spring and pad guide plate.
- Remove pad support plate and anti-squeal shim(s).
- Reverse procedure to install.

For the following procedures, refer to Fig. for assistance.
- Remove master cylinder boot.
- Remove setscrew and then reservoir tank. Remove cap and strainer from reservoir.
- Remove two grommets. Then place cylinder in vise.
- Push piston in and remove stopper bolt, Fig. .
- Push pistons in and remove snap ring. Then carefully remove No. 1 piston by hand.
- Place cylinder on edges of two wooden blocks and tap on cylinder until No. 2 piston comes out.
