- Raise and support rear of vehicle, then remove tire and wheel assembly.
- Remove caliper attaching bolts, then the caliper, Figs. and . Do not allow caliper to hang unsupported or damage to the brake hose may occur.
- Remove pads and anti-squeal shim(s).
- Remove anti-rattle springs, pad guide plates and support plate.
- Reverse procedure to install. Torque caliper attaching bolts to 14 ft. lbs.
CALIPER, REPLACE
- Raise and support rear of vehicle, then remove tire and wheel assembly.
- Disconnect brake hose from brake tube and caliper using a suitable tool.

- Raise and support front of vehicle, then remove tire and wheel assembly. Temporarily install lug nuts to hold rotor in place.
- Remove brake hose bracket attaching bolts from steering knuckle, if necessary.
- While holding the sliding bushing, remove cylinder installation bolt, Figs. and .
- Rotate caliper upwards and remove. Suspend caliper with wire using caution not to stretch brake hose.
- Remove pads and anti-squeal shim(s).
- Remove anti-rattle springs, support and pad guide plates.
- Install new anti-rattle springs, support and pad guide plates.
