DRIVELINE, U-JOINT & CV AXLES REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES FOR 1991 MERCEDES-BENZ 190E AUTOMOBILES
Includes CV axle, universal joint, and driveline replacement, for domestic and imported 1991 MERCEDES-BENZ 190E cars and light trucks from 1990+.
DRIVESHAFT, Replace
Vehicle: 1991 MERCEDES-BENZ 190E 2.3 2.3 L4 GAS
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Unscrew exhaust shielding plate.
- Lift transmission and support.
- Unscrew hex. head screws and hex. nut and remove rear engine carrier with engine mount.
- Unscrew bracket for fastening seat belt on vehicles starting 09/88.
- Unscrew cross-bridge if installed from tunnel.
- Loosen propeller shaft clamping nut for approximately two turns without sliding back rubber sleeve (sliding along).
- Remove front propeller shaft from transmission.
