In order to be properly coded, models with a Nippondenso A/C compressor, require a control head with a code of "C" or higher.
The control head micro processor requires that a code be stored into memory to allow the automatic A/C control system to properly interface with the powertrain control system.

Obtain the vehicle owner's radio theft protection code, then disconnect the battery ground cable. Briefly open fuel filler cap to relieve system pressure, then close it again.
After the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal driveability symptoms may occur. The vehicle may need to be driven while it relearns its adaptive strategy.
