Brake pressure regulator is mounted on body (left rear), and operated by a spring attached to the rear axle.

  • Firmly depress brake pedal once, with car on the ground.
  • Release pedal suddenly and ensure lever on pressure regulator moves.
  • Raise and support vehicle to remove load from rear axle.
  • Press brake pressure regulator lever toward rear.
  • Loosen nut from front of spring, then attach spring, without play or tension, to plastic roller.
  • Torque nut to 18 ft. lbs.

FUEL FILTER REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES FOR Audi 100 AUTOMOBILES

Do not smoke or allow an open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel system related components. The highly flammable vapor mixtures may ignite, resulting in serious personal injury.

Obtain the vehicle owner's radio theft protection code, then disconnect the battery ground cable. Briefly open fuel filler cap to relieve system pressure, then close it again.

After the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal driveability symptoms may occur. The vehicle may need to be driven while it relearns its adaptive strategy.
