- Remove wheels and brake pads.
- Disconnect brake hydraulic line. Using a suitable device, depress and hold brake pedal to restrict flow of brake fluid from reservoir.
- Remove caliper retaining bolts, caliper, and metal shield.
- Loosen bleeder valve and carefully blow hydraulic fluid out of caliper. Recommended air pressure for fluid removal is 14 psi.

The Check Engine lamp will be illuminated when the ignition switch is in the on position with engine not running. When the engine is started, the lamp should go out. If the lamp remains lit, a diagnostic trouble code has been stored by the Electronic Control Unit (ECU). After diagnosis and repair are complete, place ignition switch in on position without starting engine, then depress accelerator pedal fully for more than 11 seconds.
