- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Remove rear engine cover.
- Remove rubber seal and plenum chamber cover.
- Remove bolts air guides.
- Move fuel line and line to EVAP canister at air filter housing and air guide pipe aside.
- Disconnect electrical harness connector at mass air flow (MAF) Sensor.
- Remove bolts and air guides.
- Disconnect vacuum line at throttle body.
- Disconnect electrical harness connector at mass air flow (MAF) Sensor.
- Open hose clamps and remove air guide pipe from air filter housing.
- Open clips and remove upper air filter housing.

- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove right front wheel.
- Remove alternator:
- Remove engine front cover.
- Before removing drive belt, mark direction of rotation. Belt damage will result if not reinstalled in proper direction.
- Relieve drive belt tension by turning tensioner clockwise, using a suitable tool.
- Lock tensioner in place, using a suitable tool.
