- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Loosen fasteners and remove noise insulation.
- Remove electrical harness connector from bracket and disconnect it from cooling fan control connector.
- Release clip and lay coolant fan control (FC) module aside.
- Before removing drive belt, mark direction of rotation. Belt damage will result if not reinstalled in proper direction.
- Relieve drive belt tension by turning tensioner clockwise, using a suitable tool.
- Remove drive belt from alternator pulley and release tensioner.
