- Set parking brake. Parking brake is set to keep hub/bearing and axle shaft from rotating when loosening hub nut.
- Raise and support vehicle allowing rear suspension to hang free.
- Remove rear wheels.
- Remove cotter pin and nut retainer from stub shaft of outer C/V joint.
- Remove spring washer, hub nut and washer from stub shaft of outer C/V joint.
- Release parking brake.
- Create slack in rear park brake by locking out automatic adjuster as follows:
- Grasp exposed section of front park brake and pull downward on it.

- With vehicle in neutral, position vehicle on hoist.
- Remove skid plate if equipped to gain access to propeller shaft.
- Mark a line across axle pinion flange, propeller shaft, flange yoke and transfer case for installation reference.
- Remove U-joint strap bolts at pinion shaft yoke.
- Remove transfer case yoke bolts.
- Push rear of propeller shaft forward to clear transfer case yoke.
- Remove propeller shaft from vehicle.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Align reference marks.
- Torque U-joint strap bolts to 14 ft. lbs.

This system will consist of TPMS sensors attached to each wheel through the valve stem mounting hole, a Wireless Control Module (WCM) and a yellow TPMS telltale lamp. A tire pressure sensor shall be installed in the spare wheel if the vehicle is equipped with a matching full size spare wheel and tire assembly.
