The nickel plated valve insert must be replaced every tire change. Release air from the tire by removing the nickel plated valve insert. The TPMS sensor can be reused, but a damaged sensor must be replaced.
- Loosen the wheel lug nuts.
- Raise and support the vehicle with jack stands.
- Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
- When dismounting the tire from the rim, note the following:
- When using pressure paddles, remove the side of the tire opposite the valve stem from the rim first. Do not use the paddles in area (a) , Fig. .
