- Remove alternator:
- Remove battery cover.
- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Remove both mounting bolts, then remove intake channel by pulling up on rear part.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Loosen fasteners and remove noise insulation.
- Remove front bumper cover.
- Remove intake air duct between lock carrier and air cleaner housing at lock carrier.
- Screw in suitable guide bolts into threaded holes.
- Remove lock carrier mounting bolts, then pull lock carrier toward front of vehicle.
- Secure lock carrier with guide bolts.
- Remove left and right engine covers.
- Remove combination light mounting bolts.
