DRIVELINE, U-JOINT & CV AXLES REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES FOR 2001 Land Rover Range Rover AUTOMOBILES
Includes CV axle, universal joint, and driveline replacement, for domestic and imported 2001 Land Rover Range Rover cars and light trucks from 1990+.
DRIVESHAFT, Replace -> FRONT -> REAR
Vehicle: 2001 Land Rover Range Rover 4.6 V8 GAS
FRONT
- Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel.
- Remove stake from driveshaft nut.
- Depress brake pedal and remove driveshaft nut.
- On righthand side, remove anti-roll bar link attaching nuts, then separate links from anti-roll bar.
- On righthand and lefthand sides, remove brake rotor.
- Disconnect ABS sensor harness from retaining clips.
- Remove ABS sensor to hub retaining bolt, then the sensor from hub.
- Remove track rod end ball joint to steering arm retaining nut.
- Separate track rod end ball joint from steering arm using a suitable tapered joint removal tool.
- Remove height sensor link...
