  • Remove two screws securing expansion valve to evaporator tube mounting flange.
  • Remove expansion valve from evaporator tube mounting flange, then plug all open lines.
  • Reverse procedure to install.

  • Connect a suitable ammeter in series with clutch coil terminal.
  • Use a suitable voltmeter to measure voltage across battery and compressor clutch coil.
  • With heater-A/C mode control switch in any A/C mode, and blower motor switch in lowest speed position, start engine and run at idle speed.
