- Loosen driveshaft to wheel hub retaining nut while applying brakes.
- Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assembly.
- Remove underside panel, then the brake cooling duct from control arm.
- Remove stabilizer arm from wheel carrier.
- Separate ball joint from wheel carrier.
- Remove driveshaft to transmission flange attaching bolts.
- Separate driveshaft from wheel carrier assembly, then remove driveshaft from vehicle.

- Remove center console.
- Remove underside panels.
- Remove attaching bolt for gearshift rod coupling.
- Lift guide tube off ball joint.
- Remove shift lever with gearshift rod and guide tube.
- Remove front axle final drive.
- Completely unscrew the two mounting screws of the clamping sleeve and push it forwards on the central tube.
- Apply flat steel parts (made in workshop) to support central tube.
- Unscrew manual transmission mounting screws (the top two screws can be reached from the passenger comp...
