- Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheels.
- Remove caliper without disconnecting brake hose as outlined under "Caliper Service."
- Tap rotor with a suitable soft face driver to free it from hub.
- Remove rotor from vehicle.
Inspection
Surface
Check rotor for roughness, cracks or chips.
Runout
- Secure rotor to wheel hub with two wheel lug nuts.
- Check runout using a suitable dial indicator.
- Refer to "Disc Brake Specifications" for maximum runout allowance.

- Observe following precautions when bleeding brake system.
- Carefully monitor brake fluid level at master cylinder during bleeding procedure.
- Fill reservoir with new DOT 3 brake fluid.
- Ensure fluid level is full at all times.
- Connect a transparent vinyl tube to air bleeder valve.
- Fully depress brake pedal several times.
- With brake pedal depressed, open air bleeder valve to release air.
- Release brake pedal slowly.
- Repeat above process until clear brake fluid comes out of air bleeder valve.

- Loosen locknut and adjust pedal free height by turning brake booster input rod. Tighten locknut.
- Check pedal freeplay. Ensure stop lamps operate when pedal is depressed.
- Check brake pedal depressed height when engine is running.
