STARTER & ALTERNATOR REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES FOR 1995 Porsche 911 AUTOMOBILES

Starter, Replace -> Automatic Transmission -> Manual Transmission
Vehicle: 1995 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 3.6 H6 GAS
Automatic Transmission
- Remove engine guard and underside rear panel.
- Remove air distributor pipe on left and right sides of transmission.
- Loosen transmission mounting bolts and lower approximately .4 inch.
- Disconnect solenoid electrical connectors.
- Remove solenoid wire clamp and tie wrap from starter, then the oil pipe from body.
- Remove starter bolts and ground strap.
- Lift starter from support and rotate starter pinion toward engine oil filter.
- Rotate starter 1/2 turn until solenoid faces transmission, then carefully remove starter.
- Reverse procedure to install. Torque starter mounting ...
