  • Raise and support vehicle.
  • Remove wheels and brake pads.
  • Disconnect brake hydraulic line. Using a suitable device, depress and hold brake pedal to restrict flow of brake fluid from reservoir.
  • Remove caliper retaining bolts, caliper, and metal shield.
  • Loosen bleeder valve and carefully blow hydraulic fluid out of caliper. Recommended air pressure for fluid removal is 14 psi.
  • Position caliper in a soft jaw vise, and remove clamping ring and dust boot.
  • Depress one caliper piston with tool No. 83, or equivalent, and position a wood block approximately1/3 inches thick between too...

  • Remove master cylinder attaching bolt from luggage compartment floor plate.
  • Drain brake fluid reservoir.
  • Disconnect electrical connectors for stop light switch, then the vacuum hose at brake booster and brake lines at master cylinder.
