- Drain engine coolant, then discharge and recover system refrigerant.
- Disconnect water valve control cable from water valve, then disconnect water hoses from heater core pipes.
- Remove instrument panel as outlined under "Instrument Panel, Replace."
- Remove blower unit.
- Disconnect and cap liquid line and suction line from block joint.
- Remove rear air ducts and heater protector.
- Disconnect heater unit electrical connectors, then remove heater unit attaching nuts, remove cooling unit.
- Reverse procedure to install.
