- Run engine at idle with A/C On for at least 10 minutes.
- Stop engine, then remove battery and bracket.
- Discharge and recover system refrigerant.
- On 1993 models, remove engine cooling fan.
- On all models, Disconnect and cap two hoses from compressor service valves.
- Disconnect magnetic clutch electrical connector.
- Loosen compressor drive belt.
- Remove four compressor mounting bolts, then compressor assembly.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:

- Drain engine coolant into suitable container, then disconnect pressure hose from hydraulic motor.
- Remove cruise control actuator cover, then disconnect upper radiator hose, engine coolant reservoir hose and hydraulic motor return hose.
- Remove hydraulic fan retaining bolts, then hydraulic fan, Fig. .
- Remove cooling fan from hydraulic motor, then motor from fan shroud.
- Reverse procedure to install. Bleed system as outlined under "Hydraulic Cooling Fa... "
