Service Brakes

  • Raise and support vehicle.
  • Remove access slot cover at rear of brake support plate.
  • Using a suitable brake adjustment tool, rotate adjuster star wheel while turning wheel and tire until brake locks.
  • Insert a suitable thin tool through adjustment hole and disengage automatic adjuster arm from star wheel, then back off screw approximately one turn.
  • Install access slot cover, then lower vehicle and check for proper brake operation.
  • Drive vehicle in Reverse, make 10 to 15 firm brake applications with one forward stop between each reverse application to equalize adjustment.
