DESCRIPTION
VIN P Engine
The primary and secondary coolant fans are turned on and off by the ECM based on inputs from the coolant temperature sensor, the vehicle speed sensor and the A/C pressure sensor, if equipped. Battery is applied at all times to terminal E of the coolant fan relay and when ignition switch is in RUN position, battery voltage is applied to terminal D of the relays. The ECM energizes the coolant fan by grounding circuit 335. The relay energizes, and battery voltage is applied to the primary coolant fan motor.
The secondary coolant operates simi...

Vehicle: 1993 Buick Roadmaster 5.7 V8 GAS
DESCRIPTION
When the ignition switch is in either the RUN or START positions, system voltage is applied to the coils of the main engine relay and to fan relay 1. Because the main relay is grounded at G108, the relay is energized, its contacts close, and battery voltage is applied through the relay and the radiator fan fusible link to the contacts of fan relay 1.
When engine coolant temperature is below 194°F, the coolant fan temperature switch provides a ground for relay 1, the relay energizes and its contacts are pulled open.
Whenever engine coolant temperature reache...
