Disconnect battery ground cable.
Remove nuts from battery bracket mount and then remove battery.
Remove nuts securing v-bank cover.
Raise vehicle on suitable lift.
Remove bolts securing engine under cover subassembly.
Rotate or lift belt tensioner arm counterclockwise using a suitable tool to relieve tension from drive belt.

Disconnect battery ground cable.
Position vehicle on lift and ensure transaxle is in neutral position.
Raise vehicle on suitable lift.
Remove bolts from engine rear under cover assembly then remove under cover.
On models equipped with 2WD, remove bolts and separate engine wiring harness.
On models equipped with 4WD, disconnect bank two heated oxygen sensor connector.
