Used Upper Control Arm (Suspensiondrive)

While driving, if you hear the moaning of the torsion bar, it means your vehicle is facing a problem with regards to the front suspension. The front suspension problem is most probably the bushing of the upper or lower control arm.

On the wearing of upper control arm (front / rear), front side of the car begins to groan and squeak while driving. You may get a temporary relief by greasing. But, if you want to get rid of it permanently, then replace the bushings. As these bushings are tightly fitted, removal of upper control arm is required at first. Afterwards, press these bushings out. Use a hammer and driver to drive them out, but take care of the upper control arm. This upper control arm (front / rear) must not be damaged.

Upper control arm (front/rear) is used on vehicles having ‘A-arm’ suspension system. A-arm suspension system comprises of two-legs. When you view it from the front, these legs appear in the form of A-shape. Top point of A is attached to the frame. On the other hand, bottom of A is connected to wheel spindle. In this system, upper control arm is the topmost leg.

Upper control arm is a bar having pivot at each end. Its main purpose is to attach all the suspension members to the chassis. As coil springs are used in the front as well as rear suspension, about three or four upper control arms are positioned within the rear axle housing and frame that carries the driving and brake torque. Pivoting of lower control arms is accomplished on the frame members. Sometimes, it also supports the rear coil springs. This will result in up and down movement of axle and wheel assembly. A-arms are considered as control arms having two inboard pivots and provide strength. A few front end designs opt for upper control arms instead of A-arms, as it saves weight and are more adjustable.

If your vehicle is not working accordingly, then replace the upper control arm (front/ rear) of your vehicle. Instead of buying a new part, you may opt for used upper control arm. There is no need to bother about the durability and reliability of the product, as they are made up of high quality. Moreover, they are available at discounted rates. Apart from these benefits, used upper control arm (front/rear) also offer warranty coverage plan. If you have any query regarding the used part then call the customer care representative.
