WORTHINGTON, Ohio, Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The Sandy Johnson Foundation today announced the release of a book written by foundation founder, Dean Johnson, to raise funds for the foundation's mission to reduce the occurrence of fatal and life-changing injury accidents on our nation's highways.

Have You Heard THE VOICE is the story of one man's journey through life and the Voice that helped define it and give it purpose. The book takes readers along with the Christian author as he shows how the Voice, the voice of God, has calmed his fears, given him hope and provided direction.

Johnson's faith in God was tested when his wife was killed in a car accident seven years ago. But, with the gentle guiding of the Voice, he was led to a new mission in life: to prevent deaths at dangerous intersections through the efforts of the foundation he named for his wife. The proceeds of the book will help Johnson fund education efforts to help drivers avoid life-threatening mistakes caused by "driver-conditioning."

"Driver-conditioning is a term that describes the natural phenomenon that occurs when traveling - drivers becoming accustomed to road conditions and traffic patterns," said Johnson. "When these conditions abruptly change with little or no warning, a disproportionate number of accidents typically occur. And, when high speed is added to the equation, life-changing injury and death are often the result."

Through a combination of notification and education, the foundation's highway safety initiative and driver education techniques have the potential to save countless lives.
