NOVI, Mich., June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Preh, a leading supplier of sensors, interior control systems and electronic control units to the global automotive industry, has won a "Top 10" Supplier Award from Hitachi America's Automotive Products division, it was announced today. Preh develops and manufactures electronic throttle body position sensors for the company.

The award was presented June 18 at Hitachi's facility in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. According to Hitachi representatives from purchasing and quality management, Preh earned this award based upon the company's high marks in the areas of quality, delivery performance, cost management and dedicated support.

Preh Senior Vice President of Sales Nick Lontscharitsch said, "We are proud indeed to be among Hitachi's Top 10 suppliers. For us this means that we are continuing to show our highest reliability as a supplier of millions of position sensors to car makers around the world."

Two weeks earlier, Preh was awarded the GM 2008 Supplier of the Year Award for supplying world class climate control heads to General Motors.
